What a beautiful final day here in Verbier. The sun was out early, and the spring snow shimmered across the slopes. The children were full of energy, zipping off for one last morning of skiing.
They stopped mid-run for snacks, laughing in the snow, before the big race began. Some sped down like little rockets, others more cautious, but all of them gave it their all.
Back at camp, the smell of BBQ filled the air—grilled vegetables, sausages, warm bread. Everyone sat on the grass eating, tired but happy. The afternoon was quiet: card games, stories, a few snowball fights in the shade.
After dinner, there were prizes for the best skiers, and lots of clapping and proud smiles. Then we all gathered around the campfire for the last time. The stars came out as the fire crackled, and I sat just beyond the light, listening to the songs.
I’ll miss the noise, the joy, and all the little stories left behind in the snow.
